CDL Class B
Allows the holder to operate any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 pounds or more, any such vehicle towing a vehicle not exceeding 10,000 pounds GVWR, and any vehicle designed to transport 24 or more passengers, including the driver. If the skills test is taken on a bus with a GVWR of less than 26,001 pounds, the licensee will be restricted to operating buses with a GVWR of less than 26,001 pounds. The following documents are required:
Requirements:
1.You must hold a valid Texas Driver License
2.U.S. Citizenship or, if you are not a U.S. Citizen, evidence of lawful presence
3.Evidence of Texas adress registration. Registration must be current one the first 30 days and another after 90 days
4.Social Security Number
5.Medical Card (Physical exam with a doctor) Self-Certification Of Medical Status

PASS THE CDL KNOWLEDGE TEST – WRITTEN TEST
6.Commercial Learner Permit (CLP) consists of 3 knowledge tests at the DMV:

- General Knowledge
- Air Brakes

And finally:
PASS THE CDL SKILLS TEST – DRIVING TEST
Once you pass the knowledge test, you must take a skills (driving) test to receive your CDL. There are 3 parts to the CDL skills test.
-Inspection of the vehicle before the trip (Pretrip)
-Vehicle control skills (Skill)
-Road control skills (Route)
